May 11th 2002
- Lightning has been doing quite well. We went out first
round in the NMRA's 3rd race of the season, however, we should still be holding
4th in points.
April 13th 2002
- Lightning gets long tube headers and midpipes. The

April 7th 2002

Oct 12th 2001
- Made my first trip to the track with the new Lightning.
Ran a best of 13.25 with an average of 13.33 over 3 runs. Not too bad
for a 5000 lb. brick going down the track!
Oct 5th 2001
- I received and installed the PSP Filter Kit today.
Much improved airflow and look over the stock airbox!
Oct 2nd 2001
- I received a deposit on the cobra yesterday. It has
been sold. Sad day. On a side note, we had the PSP Factory Tech Shift Kit
installed today. The 1-2 shift gives some serious rubber, and all the shifting
is much improved!
Sep 30th 2001
- Visited the NMRA World Finals in Bowling Green, KY.

- NMRA Points update. After the Columbus, OH NMRA race,
I have moved up in points. I am now ranked 26 out of 59 competitors! Look
for that # to drop considerably after the next NMRA race!
June 4th 2001
- Attended the
2001 Modular Shootout
this weekend due to unbelieveable amouts of rain, the show had a small turnout,
none the less, the Cobra made an awesome showing, running an all time best
ET of 10.51! That was with 1.4 tenths off the cars best 60' ever! Once the
60' times are back down, look for very very low tens. I expect to run a 9
before the year is out!
June 4th 2001
- TBR Sponsor was a main sponsor the the 2001 modular
shootout this year. I finally got to meet George the owner. Quality guy with
quality stuff for our cars! George has really delved into the stang market
the past year and has done a wonderful job. Many thanks!

May 7th 2001
- Spent the weekend at National Trail Raceway in Columbus,
OH for My 2nd NMRA race of the season. Still driving the GT Convertible, I
went out first round against Barry Shephard. It was a close race, 6 hundreths
of a second. I tree'd Barry by 8 thousanths of a second! Going to fast though
I hit the breaks at the end of the track, just a little too much though.
Next Race!
May 1st 2001
- Points Update! After only making 1 of the first 2 NMRA
races, I am currently ranked 30th out of 51 Mod Motor Registrants! Keep in
mind, #20 has the same amount of points. In the case of a tie, the faster
et takes the higher position. So, once the Cobra returns running low 10's!
Look for my rank to move up considerably!
April 25th 2001
- The 99 Cobra section of the site has been almost completely
revised. All mods to date have been listed except maybe a few I missed.
I am hoping to see the car back in 3 weeks or so. Trying to get it ready for
the modular shootout June 2-3rd!
April 9th 2001
- Spent the weekend in Reynolds, GA at Silver Dollar
Raceway. I attended the 1st Annual Ford Nationals there. It was the 2nd NMRA
race of the season. I was unable to attend the 1st race of the year. (New
baby), LOL. I qualified 33rd out of 36 cars. BTW, I was driving the new GT
Vert because I am having some more work done on the Cobra. On Sunday, I faired
ok, I won my first race against Steve Baumgartner. He redlighted on the run.
On the second run, I was up against good ol James Hensler. I tree'd him good,
.504 to .598, but I went too fast and broke out costing me the race. Allin
all, a very good weekend and a good time. I drove home 9hrs with the topdown
and roasted my head, but it felt great. Very happy for the nice weatherto
finally be here. Congrats out to Bob Cosby from the corral. He broke theFactory
Stock record this weekend. Also many thanks to my Dedpedal crew,Ian &
Jeff.
March 25th 2001
- Well, the car went back to Alternative Auto today.
I am doing what I call my "Final Round" of Mods. When I get the car back
I plan on putting out in the neighborhood of 750hp and 650 ft/lbs of
torque!
March 10th 2001
- We decided to bump the timing in the Cobra and run
full Turbo Blue. Because of the impending failure of the head gaskets, the
car was spraying antifreeze all over the place. Even with 1/10th off our
60' from last week and letting off for 2/10ths in 3rd gear because of antifreeze
under the tire, we still ran a 10.82@130.39 mph! The 60' was a 1.67. If we
get back downto the 60's we saw at Norwalk last year, with the head gaskets
fixed, thecar should run 10.40's possibly 10.30's!
March 8th 2001
- Voted In as an official member of Dedpedal Racing!
